Submission Deadlines

The Cannes Short Film Festival 2023 accepts Submissions from Septembrt 2022 until January 2023.

Early Submissions Period — Sept 9, 2022 to Oct 18, 2022
Early Submissions Deadline — October 18, 2022
Regular Submissions Period — Oct 19, 2022 to Nov 18, 2022
Regular Submissions Deadline — Nov 18, 2021
Late Submissions Period — Nov 19, 2022 to Dec 13, 2022
Late Submissions Deadline — December 13, 2022

All filmmakers will be notified before February 6, 2023.

The Cannes Short Film Festival is open to international films in one of the following categories:

Entry Fees

CSFF accepts only digital submissions

Fees for short films: €40 early, €45 regular, €50 late .
Fees for short short films under 5 and music videos: €35 early, €40 regular, €45 late.

Eligibility

The Cannes Short Film Festival is dedicated to showcasing new emerging film talent.

All film entries must be submitted digitally and be received by the arrival deadline of Jan 15, 2023.

If selected to be showcased during the event, all screening copies must be received by Feb 11, 2023.

All photos submitted may be used for any festival promotions.

The festival screens native-language English and French films. Non-English or French language produced films must have English subtitles or be dubbed in English.

All entrants certify that they have been given full rights to use any and all music in their films.

Jury Award winners will be selected by a panel of active film industry professionals. All films go through a screening process and are reviewed by at least two members of the selection committee.

CSFF Nominees agree to participate in the publicity for the Festival as well as other promotional events, including website, social media, international press coverage and festival trailers edited by G. Papinutto of Agence Gamines.

Selected film entries will be notified by July 23, 2021. Awards will be announced after the festival. An Awards Certificate will be awarded to the winners. Some Award categories may have co-sponsors providing prizes. One award or prize will be given to the individual designated on the official entry form as “submitter”.

Filmmakers or screenwriters accepted and attending the festival are responsible for travel, lodging, and all other expenses.
