2023 Submission Guidelines
Submissions are now open for the 2023 Cannes Short Film Festival.
The 2023 festival will run Sept 3 – 4.

Early Submissions Period — Jan 29, 2023 to Apr 20, 2023
Early Submissions Deadline — April 20, 2023
Regular Submissions Period — Apr 21, 2023 to May 16, 2023
Regular Submissions Deadline — May 16, 2023
Late Submissions Period — May 17, 2023 to Jun 20, 2023
Late Submissions Deadline — June 20, 2023
All filmmakers will be notified before Aug 4, 2023.
All photos submitted may be used for any festival promotions.
The festival screens native-language English and French films. Non-English or French language produced films must have English subtitles or be dubbed in English.
All entrants certify that they have been given full rights to use any and all music in their films.
Jury Award winners will be selected by a panel of active film industry professionals. All films go through a screening process and are reviewed by at least two members of the selection committee.
CSFF Nominees agree to participate in the publicity for the Festival as well as other promotional events, including website, social media, international press coverage and festival trailers edited by G. Papinutto of Agence Gamines.
Awards will be announced after the festival. An Awards Certificate will be awarded to the winners. Some Award categories may have co-sponsors providing prizes. One award or prize will be given to the individual designated on the official entry form as “submitter”.
Filmmakers or screenwriters accepted and attending the festival are responsible for travel, lodging, and all other expenses.
